X - Mas time!

UPDATE: I had to remove the Religulous clip due to copyright issues. Hope you enjoyed it while it lasted.

It is understood by millions that the importance of this time of year is Jesus Christ's (what a last name) birthday. It has been proclaimed for a while now that December 25th will be the day we celebrate the birth... of the one and only... SON OF GOD HIMSELF... EVERYONE PUT THEIR HANDS TOGETHER FOR MR. CHRIST IN THE FLESH.....JESUS!!!!
*theme music blares through speakers*

Let's get serious people. This month holds a shit load of importance for people of ALL different faiths. Coincidence? No. It's because every new fairytale derives from another fairytale; thusly, leaving every new fairytale with the same bullshit fantasy story. There is no denying that fact. It is what it is...fact.

So, I cordially celebrate Christmas because I do not want to let my family down. They want the entire family to be present for the festivities so I play along. I'm not hurting anyone. I'm just there to be with family at the one time of year that we are all together........okay, that's a lie. This group of people get together for birthdays, easter, fucking BAPTISMS!!! The fact remains that I love them no matter what religious traditions they insist on following. The same goes for my friends. I went to go eat at a friend's house a couple nights ago and ended up holding hands with my dinner partners and looked around astonished as they started to pray! Did I object? Fuck no. I have respect. That's what I go through for my friends. I will participate in their family rituals if it means I get to hang out with them. Anywho, I'm getting off on a somewhat tangent here. But that's ok, because that is sometimes when the most intelligent babble gets spit out.

Nonetheless, Christmas is a holiday for chumps. So is Hannukah, Chanukah, Hannakuh, er, WHATEVERTHEFUCK-KAH. Either way, it's all a make believe celebration for a make believe god on a make believe date. FUCK, historians say that if jesus is real, he wasn't even born until June on the calendar, and probably 2 years after the bible tries to say he was. But whatever. This time of year, I just sit back and enjoy the togetherness of the family.

With all ranting aside, this ultimately brings into light the fact that I finally found a Religulous torrent. I drove to Dallas to watch this movie. That was 10 hours total of travel time, just to watch one movie. Of course, as I have proclaimed in a previous post, it was well worth it. Well, I WILL buy the DVD when it is released, but for now I have to rely on the torrent I found to download and occupy my obsession until then. With it, though, I have great news. I have the profound, intelligent, mind opening, unbelievable, beautiful ending of the movie. I want everyone to watch it. The entire film is not destroyed just by watching the ending of the movie. In fact that's one of the many things i Love about this film. You can see the ending, and still thoroughly enjoy the rest of the flick. So here it is folks. I especially insist on posting this because I know the only people who probably view this blog will never actually buy/rent this movie:

It doesn't take a lot to scare someone, believe it or not. That's the reason so many people in our world believe in some kind of religion. Therefore, for those of you that are so weak-minded, I hope that this clip will scare you into the TRUTH, for there is nothing more important.

Thanks a lot for calling me weak minded, that was an excellent touch. I am not some low life, emty minded, blind follower of a "fairytale." SOME people that believe in a "religion" have indeed sat down and weighed all of the theories - yes every single fairytale story is indeed a theory and therefore unproven, and not a fact - and since these people have cognitively and rationally weighed each theory, they are perfectly aware of the choice to believe whatever they want. Perhaps, just perhaps, they believe all sorts of things in addition to aspects of religion. But you seem to think that any belief in any aspect of religion is a trillion times horrid and you must write that person off as an imbecile. You say you "go along" with whatever your friends believe in just to suffice them or to please them but then you turn around and "shout to the world" of their idiocracy. Seems hurtful to me. Perhaps it is to them. Thanks for again challenging me to rethink my beliefs, but I will still refrain from sufficing to YOUR religion being 'forced' upon people.

Believing in Religion does not appropriate rationality. Religion offers no sense of reason whatsoever. The birth place of Jesus is even confused by Matthew and Luke, and the translation of the word meaning "young woman" was misconstrued for the Greed word for virgin. Yes, there are some who do challenge their Religion, as everyone raised Religious should. Do you believe in what your parents believe? Do your parents believe in what their parents believed? I could go on down the chain, but you get the picture. Many smart and intelligent people do believe in God or Gods. Upon weighing these theories of Religion being truly rational, if done with pure unbiased presumption, you would find that there is more than likely, with very little hesitation that there is no God or Gods. Whether there is a God or not cannot be proven, but that does not make it a 50/50 chance that God does exist. Every Religion steals(or borrows if you will) from a previous one. Christianity shares correlations of the Messiah's birthday being on the day of Christmas, the resurrection, and the prophecies told. The ideas are not new. They were taken from earlier Civilization's beliefs that were around 3000(approx) years before Christ. So, in fact, upon again weighing this information, to find Religion(any religion) rational is simply due a lack of knowledge(not saying Religious people are uneducated in other areas of life or areas one may gain knowledge), and spoon fed "wisdom" their family members had told them while growing up. Also, it shows lack of eduction on the Creationists behalf, to say that Evolutionists believe 1)Something came from Nothing and/or 2)theories that Darwinism promotes such anomalies as the "Brocoflower" or the "Crocoduck." I'm not pointing fingers at Anonymous, simply stating there are many scientific wrongs with Religion. Creationism is just, well, silly. Life is a mystery, and the Universe is a mystery. That does not mean there is an all mighty creator who planted everything here. Nothing cannot create something. If God created all of this, who created God? Who created God's creator etc. It's an endless repetition of regression.
The writer of this blog truly does respect the beliefs held by his family and friends. He respects them not to the point every Religion feels it should be respected. Religions tend to hold themselves higher than anything else that deserves respect. The president has for years and years had caricatures of his face drawn to symbolize stupidity, the lack of his abilities as president etc etc. You don't see millions of people running to his defense, and you certainly don't see caricatures of Jesus, God, or Mohammed taken so lightly, if you have ever seen them anywhere besides an Atheist(or something similar) magazine or ad. Our country was not founded on Religion. The forefathers would not have dreamed of this. Yet, we hear it in the words of our president. George Bush Sr. himself said that Atheists do not belong in this country and that they are NOT citizens. Imagine if "Atheist" were removed and another minority group installed. Blacks, Jews, Homosexuals. Also, Religion is placed in courts of law, and court cases have been won by ridiculous measures because the argument was "It insults my Religion!" or "It's my right as a Religious person to believe this." So yes, Religion places itself on a pedestal above most anything else in this world. My point being, the writer respects Religion to the point that he is not apologetic to Religion. As far as challenging your beliefs, I greatly advise you do so, Anonymous. Throw out what you've been told and open your mind to a world and a life where you are not damned for silly sins no one sees. We all have free will because of evolution. Also, the blog writer is not forcing his "religion" onto you. That is contradictory. Okay, thanks for reading this if you do :-)

Edit- in the 3rd sentence Greed was meant to be written as Greek. Also, perhaps the broccoflower wasn't such a good term to use, but theoretically it fits.

@ anonymous, I did not state that I go along with whatever my friends believe in. I do not act like I believe in their religion or whatever you're trying to make it sound like. I said that I RESPECT their beliefs as to not offend or be rude. I do not 'two-face' it up and act like I believe in something that I don't.

As for imbecile...does crazy sound better to you?

"...but I will still refrain from sufficing to YOUR religion being 'forced' upon people."

Aside from the fact that this sentence makes ZERO sense, grammatically speaking, I do think you're trying to say I have a 'religion'. I am a RATIONALIST. I am RELIGION-FREE. If I'm trying to do anything, it's open everyone's mind to the dangers and idiocy that religions bring to our world.

...sorry, one more thing:

"But you seem to think that any belief in any aspect of religion is a trillion times horrid"

Yes, that is correct.

Just as you, I laugh at the rise any opposition gets out of you and your beloved. Enjoyed it! No further comments, I think my work here is done.

Hm, perhaps you laugh at the "rise" you believe you created with your "oppositions" but really, they're not oppositions at all. When I think opposite I think black or white, right or left, up or down. I saw no opposition here. I can say this calmly without getting my blood to boil. You can continue to ignore the evidence falsifying religion(of all kinds). To each his own, eh? In the end everyone wants the same thing.
